Where does this data come from?
The US Census Bureau - real County Business Patterns (business counts) and American Community Survey (population, income) data. No estimates or scraping; the source year is printed under every result.
What does the saturation score mean?
It compares your county's businesses-per-resident for your industry against the US average. Under 0.75 = underserved (an opening); around 1.0 = balanced; over 1.3 = crowded (top-3 Map Pack is the only spot that pays).
Why is it US only?
The US Census only covers the United States. For competitor counts anywhere in the world, use the Competitor Density Map (OpenStreetMap).
My business count says "suppressed" - why?
The Census hides very small counts to protect privacy. That usually means an under-served niche - often a good sign for a business trying to become the visible option.
