OpenStreetMap presence is checked live via the Overpass API, and Foursquare via its Places API, by looking for a matching named place near your business location. Yelp and Bing don't offer a free presence API, so those rows link out for a quick one-click manual check. When a live source is momentarily busy, that row says so honestly rather than guessing.

Why does OpenStreetMap matter if I'm on Google?
OpenStreetMap feeds Apple Maps, many in-car navigation systems, and AI assistants. If you're not on it, you're invisible to a big slice of "near me" searches that never touch Google.
It says "not found" - what do I do?
Add your business to OpenStreetMap (it's free and community-run). A correct, consistent listing there strengthens your presence across Apple Maps and assistant answers.
Why are Yelp and Bing "check manually"?
Those two platforms don't offer a free presence-lookup API, so we link you straight to a search on each to verify in one click. OpenStreetMap and Foursquare are checked automatically.
What's a "name mismatch"?
We found a nearby listing whose name is close but not identical to yours - worth checking it's not a duplicate or an old/typo'd entry, which confuses Google and the other maps.
